In 2015, Jay took a 60% share in Kusum Finserve which is a stock trading and marketing consultancy firm. Later on, the firm Temple Enterprises Pvt Ltd was closed in October 2016.A passionate cricketer, Jay Shah got involved in cricket in September 2013 when he became the joint secretary of Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA). He joined the Board of Control for Cricket in India in 2015 as a part of finance and marketing committee members. Jay Shah got elected as the President of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in January 2021 and again elected to the same post in January 2024.
