His parents, Surendra Dubey and Jyoti Dubey, silently but significantly contributed to the fulfillment of his ambitions related to cricket. It became especially obvious when the couple had spent almost 24 hours traveling from Nagpur to Lucknow to see one of the milestones of his career.

Harsh Dubey made his debut in domestic cricket when he was still very young. He had to grow up as a player mostly in the background of cricket playing in age groups and through getting some experience in domestic senior cricket.

Developing His Skills Through League Cricket

The most characteristic period in Harsh Dubey’s story is his time playing club cricket in Chennai for Mylapore Recreation Club where he got training from Ravichandran Ashwin – an Indian off-spinner who is considered a legend in cricket.

The years spent practicing in such a tough league gave Dubey the opportunity to face various batting styles and conditions, and learn how to use his tactics to deal with them.
